Disbrowe Cottages

Last updated: 22/07/2017

One of the most common old postcards of the village and possibly one of the first to be produced is of Disbrowe Cottages.  This postcard was produced by Raphael Tuck and Sons of London and was probably taken around 1900 as examples with postmarks going back to that time exist.  Disbrowe cottages are still standing although the western most section (right hand section) has been demolished at some point in the past.

Photo of Disbrowe Cottages

A photo of Disbrowe Cottages, probably in the early 1900s.  This seems to be a similar view to the Raphael Tuck postcard which is earler than 1902.
